Jobs Description :

 The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”) is a non-aligned, independent, non-governmental organization that works to promote ​and protect democracy and respect for human rights-primarily civil and political rights-in Cambodia.

Currently, CCHR is seeking to recruit one (1) Cambodian candidate for the position of Project Intern. This is a full time position for a period of six (6) months, based in Phnom Penh. The selected candidate will work within the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Project (“SOGI”), which aims to promote LGBT's rights and human rights. Monthly stipend will be provided.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support in organizing training and other meetings;
  • Provide support in organizing radio talk shows;
  • Monitor the media in order to raise awareness of LGBTIQ issues, human rights violations;
  • Taking notes of meetings and keeping list of contact persons updated;
  • Assist SOGI Project documentation and store it on sogi.sithi.org;
  • Able to complete mission at province if necessary; and​
  • Provide administrative support to the project.
 

Job Requirment :

 

  • Recently senior or graduated student, who has majored in social sciences, the arts, law or other relevant fields;
  • Good command of the English language — reading, writing and speaking;
  • Passion for Human Rights, democracy development and rule of law;
  • Honest, hardworking, able to accept different opinions and willing to improve self-development skills;
  • Computer skills Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop; and
  • No work experience is required.
