Jobs Description :

 The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”), a non-aligned, independent, and non-governmental organization that works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights –primarily   civil and political rights – throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia, is seeking a dynamic and professional Cambodian to fill the following positions:  

 Position:  Project Assistant for the Fundamental Freedoms Monitoring Project (“FFMP”)
Salary: USD 350 – USD 424 gross per month depending on qualifications and professional experience and with other benefits.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Data entry and initial analysis for Media Monitoring;
  • Data entry and initial analysis for Incident Reports;
  • Data entry for Public Poll, Civil Society Organizations (“CSOs”)/Trade Union (“TU”) Leaders Survey, CSOs/TUs registration evaluation;
  • Assist in conducting the legal research for the Desk Review under direction of Project Coordinator/Project Officer;
  • Assist the project team with project documentation and file management;
  • Assist in providing translation (Khmer into English and vice versa);
  • Assist in organizing project events including Focus Group Discussion, stakeholder meetings, etc;
  • Take notes at meetings and keeping contact lists updated;
  • Report to the project team when needed;  
  • Provide a necessary supporting role as well as administrative role to the project team; and
  • Complete other tasks if required by the project coordinator and the organization.
 

Job Requirment :

 ·         University degree in human rights, law, social science, public relations, communications or public administration;

·         Fair knowledge of the Cambodian law, citizenship rights, constitution and relevant international instruments related to human rights and           anti-discrimination;
·         Experience of providing project support;
·         A good command of English in writing and speaking English and fluency in Khmer;
·         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure;
·         Computer skills (MS. Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and email); and

·         Good communication and team work and flexibility.
