Jobs Description :

 The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”), a non-aligned, independent, and non-governmental organization that works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights –primarily   civil and political rights – throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia, is seeking a dynamic and professional Cambodian to fill the following positions:  

1. Position:  Project Officer for the Protecting Fundamental Freedoms and Advancing Rights in Cambodia Projects (“PFF and ARC Projects”)
Salary: USD 500– USD 605 gross per month depending on qualifications and professional experience and with other benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
·         Conduct field monitoring and media monitoring of violation of fundamental freedoms cases;
·         Assist project coordinator in developing written and multimedia information, and other publications;
·         Document, monitor and update all legal case supports provided by the project and coordinate cases with clients;
·         Conduct the project’s regular awareness-raising activities;
·         Organize and facilitate the Project’s radio talk shows;
·         Assist the project coordinator to undertake annual program of campaigns on different area of fundamental freedoms;
·         Organize workshops, trainings and meetings and other project meeting;
·         Assist project coordinator in preparing narrative reports to Donors;
·         Provide support on translation of project’s publication; and
·         Completed other tasks assigned by the organization. 
 

Job Requirment :

  • A university degree in Law, Social Sciences, or similar fields or a combination of appropriate education and experience;
  • At least 2 years of experience working on human rights related issues;
  • Understand human rights law and international instruments;
  • Strong interpersonal skill and ability to work under pressure on challenging and sensitive issue;
  • Constructive team work capacities;
  • Proven ability to produce concise written reports; 
  • Good written and spoken Khmer and English;
  • Good computer skills (MS. Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and Email); and
  • Good communication and team work and flexibility.
