Jobs Description :

The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”), a non – aligned, independent, and non-governmental organization that works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights –primarily civil and political rights – throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia, is seeking a dynamic and professional Individual to fill the following position:
Position: Project Coordinator for the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC)

Salary rank: USD1,000 - USD1,300 gross per month depending on qualifications and professional experience and with other benefits.

Responsibilities:

Relevant university degree (or equivalent) in social sciences, gender studies, human rights or law;
At least two years of professional experience focusing exclusively on project management experience, preferably with projects related to the gender, LGBTIQs/SOGIESC rights, law and human rights; and working at the ground;
Demonstrated interest in genders equality, LGBTIQs; and human rights defenders/activist;
Fluency in Khmer and a good command of written and spoken English;
Knowledge of international and domestic law related to gender, human rights and strong knowledge of the Cambodian judicial system;
Strong computer literacy (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, of the Internet and e-mail);
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to be decisive, to delegate but also to empower subordinates, and the ability to work in a team as well as independently;
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prepare and monitor the timely implementation of project work plans and ability to work under pressure;
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with a variety of individuals from different cultural or social backgrounds and holding different views, to handle challenges in a constructive manner; and
Demonstrated public speaking ability and advocacy skills.

Job Requirment :

Oversee the development and day to day running of all aspects of planning, implementing and monitoring of the project and ensure all project outcomes are met;
Develop effective working relationship and engage with different stakeholders specifically informal LGBTs rights network in Cambodia;
Take lead on advocacy and campaign as set in the project objectives;
Network with key stakeholders – local NGOs, International NGOs, donors, embassies, the authorities;
Take lead in conducting research as set in the Project’s Proposal;
Provide orientations on SOGI rights to different stakeholders;
Effectively manage and support to the Project team;
Report to CCHR’s Management Committee and to donors on the progress of the Project;
Represent CCHR at meetings and events; and
Complete other tasks if required by the organizations.
